Day 3 - Monday 30th June

Day 3 was Snorkel-Day! We were booked on an all day trip to the Great Barrier Reef.

The weather was a little overcast, which was a shame, but the sun came out before long and overall it was a great day.

Day 2 - Sunday 29th June

Day Two of our Port Douglas trip was a little overcast and a tad dissappointing. The forecasts hadn't been good but the locals pointed out the forecasts are for Cairns which is on the other side of a mountain range and tends to get a lot more rain than Port Douglas.

They must of known what they were talking about because in spite of the wet forecasts, we saw very little rain.

What I Did On My Holidays: Port Douglas - 2008

In June/July of 2008, we decided to dodge part of the chilly Melbourne winter and head north for a holiday in the sun.

We spent seven days in the sun - snorkelling the reef, travelling the coast and bumming around Port Douglas.

All in all, it was a great holiday. Pity it had to end really! :)

2nd Blog Entry ... just for testing purposes

Hmm ... Now to decide whether to stick with using the Blog feature or just post stories.

I may have to some more reading as I really can't see any difference!

I've added a pseudo "Table of Contents" for blog entries to list blog entries by topic, but I could do that with stories too. Hmm ...

1st Blog on the "new" site!

Testing ... testing ... Is this thing on?

Okay, well, the migration from Joomla to Drupal is complete ... and I like it! The lack of WYSIWIG editing is a minor issue. I can add modules to enable the same editor Joomla had or a couple of others but I think I'll be a masochist and stick to editing HTML tags manually! :)

Just playing around with the Blog article type to see how it differs from the "Story" and "Page" articles. Not sure what the difference is between a blog item and a story. I guess I'll find out.

Jackcorbae.com Jumps on the Drupal Bandwagon!

Major rebuild in progress ... Goodbye Joomla, Hello Drupal!

Could take me a while to figure out how to import everything ... if I ever do! I'll probably just start again from scratch!

Update:
I did decide to start again from scratch. There was nothing really in dire need of migrating from the old site anyway.

Plus the intention has always been to use Jackcorbae.com as an experimental site so that I can try things without breaking any of the other sites.
